Donnarumma's Agent Sparks Transfer Buzz Amid Inter Milan Meeting, Hints at AC Milan Return

Gianluigi Donnarumma's agent, Enzo Raiola, has dismissed speculation surrounding a potential move to Inter Milan, despite recent reports of a meeting between the two parties. The encounter, which fueled rumors about the Italian goalkeeper’s future, was quickly downplayed by Raiola, who clarified that Donnarumma was not the topic of discussion.

Speaking to Radio Sportiva, Raiola stated, “We never discussed Donnarumma with Inter. While we don’t rule out the possibility of a return to a top Italian club, there are currently no negotiations taking place.” This statement, however, did not put a complete stop to the transfer buzz—especially with Raiola suggesting that a return to AC Milan could be possible one day.

While his departure was met with disappointment and even anger from Milan fans, Raiola believes the bridge has not been entirely burned. Drawing parallels with Paul Pogba’s back-and-forth transfers between Manchester United and Juventus, he said, “Why not? Anything is possible, just like with Pogba.”

However, Raiola was quick to temper expectations, stressing that a move back to Serie A remains unlikely at this stage. “The chances of Donnarumma returning to play in Italy right now are very slim.

It’s not just about money—sporting projects play a big role,” he said. He further emphasized that only Inter Milan has shown recent continental form, while clubs like AC Milan and Juventus are currently undergoing restructuring.

Despite the speculation, Raiola reiterated that Donnarumma is still young, at only 26, and has a long career ahead of him. “We still have at least 10 more years to go with his talent,” Raiola joked.

The agent also underlined Donnarumma’s deep respect for Milan, the club that nurtured him from the age of 16. “He’ll always hold Milan in high regard, no matter where his career takes him,” he concluded.
