He called the moment “the worst” in his career but also extended gratitude to fans and teammates for their unwavering support. Despite the setback, Haliburton remained hopeful and resilient, embracing the spiritual lesson behind his injury.

“At 25, I’ve learned that God never gives a burden heavier than what we can carry,” he added. “This Achilles injury doesn’t define me.

I’ve fought for this city and for a chance to do something special. I have no regrets.”

Haliburton was instrumental in the Pacers’ surprising run to the NBA Finals this season. During the 2024-2025 regular season, he averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 9.2 assists over 73 games, leading Indiana to a 50-32 record and the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

"My journey to this point wasn’t by accident,” Haliburton concluded. “I’ve worked to be great, and I’ll continue to do so.

The most important thing right now is gratitude—for the experience, for the love of the game, and for everyone who stood by me.”
