Federico Chiesa Reportedly Unhappy at Liverpool, Eyes Real Betis Move Inspired by Antony’s Resurgence

Federico Chiesa’s future at Liverpool is under growing uncertainty as reports suggest the Italian winger is no longer happy at Anfield. After a disappointing debut season under new manager Arne Slot, Chiesa is rumored to be considering a move to Spain, with Real Betis emerging as a likely destination.

The 27-year-old reportedly sees the La Liga club as the perfect place to revive his career, following the successful resurgence of Antony, currently on loan at Betis from Manchester United. Chiesa’s time at Liverpool has not lived up to expectations.

Sources close to the player claim that Chiesa is intrigued by Pellegrini’s tactical philosophy, which emphasizes fluid attacking play and creativity—an approach that aligns well with Chiesa’s natural strengths. Spanish outlet El Correo, as cited by Goal, reports that Chiesa is seriously considering the move and views Betis as an ideal environment to rediscover his best form.

With Antony’s success story serving as a compelling example, Real Betis is reportedly keen to repeat the formula by targeting Chiesa. Meanwhile, the club is also working to secure Antony on a permanent deal, having already opened talks with Manchester United.

However, competition is stiff, as Bayer Leverkusen is also said to be preparing a significant offer for the Brazilian winger.
