Inter Milan is reportedly setting its sights on Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund as a top priority in the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old forward, currently playing for Manchester United, is being targeted to bolster Inter’s attacking line following recent squad changes.

Despite their strong interest, Inter faces a financial challenge in acquiring Hojlund directly. Manchester United has set a minimum asking price of €45 million, which is out of range for the Serie A giants in a straightforward purchase.

As a result, Inter is crafting a loan-based strategy that includes a purchase option for the 2026 season.

However, the young striker’s performance in the Premier League has yet to meet expectations, prompting United to consider potential offers. Inter Milan sees a window of opportunity to bring Hojlund back to Italy, believing he could be an ideal backup to Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

The club is currently short on attacking options after the departures of Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa, while Mehdi Taremi is also expected to leave soon. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter is preparing to offer a significant loan fee as part of their proposal to make the deal attractive for Manchester United.

This would help ease the financial burden of a future permanent transfer while satisfying both clubs’ objectives.

Nevertheless, Hojlund remains their top priority due to his Serie A experience and physical style of play that suits Inter’s tactical setup. The coming weeks are expected to be crucial as negotiations intensify.

Inter hopes their structured loan plan and strategic timing will convince Manchester United to accept the offer, paving the way for Hojlund’s return to Italian football.
